• Out of the said 628 people, 200 were either non-residents or non-traceable, leaving 428 cases to be actionable for tax sleuths to probe.
• For these 428 actionable cases, the government had said, the net amount of peak balance was about Rs. 4,500 crore

• The Penal provisions have been increased from minimum 6 months to at least 3 years in jail and maximum sentence has been increased to 7 years

• In a major action against black money hoarders and money launderers, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached assets to the tune of Rs 9,003 crore and filed 173 charge sheets in the financial year 2014-15
• A report prepared in this regard, also accessed by PTI, has been submitted to the Special Investigation Team (SIT) on black money and the Finance Ministry.

1. Houses for Dalit families
Newly built houses adorn the Jayapur Village. These houses, built for the Dalit families, are one-room quarters with attached kitchen, bathroom and a small courtyard. These solar powered houses will be an infrastructural delight to the needy.

2. Bio-toilets in Jayapur 
Bio-toilets have been installed at many places in the village. However, Jayapur is still to accomplish the task of having a toilet in every household. Plans are afoot to construct 16 toilets at public places, out of which work on 8 toilets has been completed.

3. Primary school has been turned into model school
The Primary school in Jayapur has been turned into a model school. However, there is still a pressing need for high schools and colleges, for higher education, so that students do not have to travel miles to reach neighbouring villages for the same.

4. Improving the plight of weavers
The government is trying to resurrect the dying weaver community in the city of Varanasi, which was once famous for its intricate work of art in the form of Banarasi sarees. In a bid for the same, Jayapur got a new handloom, which was inspected by Principal Secretary Misra on his recent visit to the village.

5. Inauguration of bus service
Durgawati Devi, Gram Pradhan, Jayapur, flagged off the village bus service, in presence of Principal Secretary Misra. This would increase the connectivity between the village and the nearest city, Varanasi, and make the journey less hectic.
