EESL Achieves Milestone of Distribution of 5 Crore LED Bulbs

Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL) completed distribution o f 5 crore LED bulbs under Domestic Efficient Lighting Programme (DELP) on Thursday morning. The DELP scheme helps to save 1,76,87,005 kWh energy per day which is worth Rs 6,95,14,059. It also helps in avoiding peak load of 1,583 MW. Replacing incandescent bulbs with LEDs reduces emission of 14,469 tonne of Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), a public sector entity under Ministry of Power, has taken up the project of distributing LED bulbs under its flagship initiative, the Domestic Efficient Lighting Programme (DELP). The Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi launched the DELP scheme on 5th January 2015. Power sector :- 30,000 MW of stalled power generation capacity revived

In the last 18 months  30,000 MW of stalled power generation capacity has been revived. Government working eases of electricity supplies in the coming 10 years. In the last 18 months, the government has revived stalled power generation capacity of over 30,000 MW, he said while replying to questions.  About 4,000 MW generation capacity have been added in the region in the last 18 months and additional 20,000 MW would be installed in the next three years, Goyal emphasised electrification of villages without considering state goverment. Modi Launched Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana or DDUGJY is an Government of India scheme aimed to provide continuous power supply to rural India. It is one of the key initiative of Modi Government and it aims to supply 24x7 uninterrupted power supply to all homes. The government plans to invest Rs 75,600 crore for rural electrification under this scheme. Electrification of each vvillage Improvement in hours of power supply in rural areas, Reduction in peak load, Improvement in billed energy based on metered consumption and Providing access to electricity to rural households. The process of sanction of projects shall commence immediately. After sanction of projects, contracts for execution of projects will be awarded by States Discoms / Power Departments. SOLAR POWER PRODUCTION as part of "MAKE IN INDIA" 2.7-lakh MW capacity to be added in 5 years

As many as 343 companies, including global firms, have committed to building green energy capacity of 2.7-lakh MW in five years as India gives thrust to renewable energy production to ensure universal energy access for the poor. Out of this capacity proposed by the companies during a global renewable energy conference in New Delhi from February 15 to 17, financing commitments have been worked out for 69,055 MW, an official statement said. SunEdison Energy India Pvt. Ltd. tops the list with a commitment of 15,200 MW — 10,000-MW solar and 5,200-MW wind energy. The Chennai-based company is a subsidiary of U.S.-based SunEdison Inc. Other companies which made commitments in excess of 10,000 MW are: Axis Energy Group, Essel Infraprojects Ltd., Renew Power, Welspun Renewables Energy Pvt. Ltd., Azure Power, Raasi Solar Energy Pvt.
