  • regular affair during the monsoons. A huge Shiva statue built six years ago by an NRI on the river bank had lost its colour and texture. The MP built a protection wall all along the riverbank and renovated a temple and the Shiva idol.

  • Patil’s cleanliness drive and sanitation facility have made Chikhli more sensitive towards hygiene. Also, renovation of road and river front gives a unique look to the village. 
  • The village got its old wells recharged and reconstructed for providing clean drinking water to 7000+ villagers. 
  • Arrangement has now been done under the Yojana to provide pure drinking water facility to each family in the village. Mr. Paatil has ensured that with the funds allocated Chikhli now has one dustbin for each house and there is appropriate provision for garbage collection via tractor and hydraulic tempos every day.

Government to spend Rs 50,000 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana

The spending this year is expected to bring an additional 6 lakh hectares under irrigation while 5 lakh hectares will benefit from drip irrigation. That apart, 1,300 watershed projects have been marked for completion. With an eye on improving farm productivity, the government will spend Rs 50,000 crore over the next five years under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchai Yojana (PMKSY). "It has been decided that in 5 years, Rs 50,000 crore from the central Budget would be utilised.
